Accounting Manager

Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000

Overview

We are partnering with a growing, multi-entity organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and oversee a small, distributed team. This is a highly visible role within a lean finance organization, offering strong ownership, cross-functional exposure, and the opportunity to shape processes and mentor talent.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys developing others, and brings deep expertise in general ledger management, transactional accounting, and compliance.

Job Duties:

• Own the general ledger and ensure accuracy across multiple entities
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Partner with finance leadership on technical accounting matters, including revenue and cost considerations
• Supervise a small team across accounts payable and accounts receivable (remote and multi-site)
• Account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses
• Oversee core accounting operations including AP, AR, and GL activities
• Manage sales and use tax compliance and filings
• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors and advisors
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings (including property tax and related requirements)
• Streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
• Expertise: Strong foundation in GL accounting, compliance, and audit support
• Industry Background: Experience in manufacturing or inventory-based environments strongly preferred
• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop teams while remaining hands-on
